SCI Teams Up with Iclips for 2010 Dates
String Cheese Incident continues to ease their fan's suffering. Not only have they announced a few dates at unique venues for 2010, but they will also be throwing their shows down live on iclips. Here is what they released today:
Coming off of The String Cheese Incident’s huge return to the stage last summer at ROTHBURY, the band will play a handful of select dates in 2010: Colorado’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 23rd, 24th and 25th, Horning’s Hideout, outside of Portland, Oregon on July 30th, 31st and August 1st, and Hampton Coliseum during Halloween weekend. Tickets for Red Rocks and Horning’s Hideout sold out in just minutes, and Hampton Coliseum seats are moving quickly.
But there is good news for SCI fans who can’t make it to the shows - iClips has teamed up with The String Cheese Incident to broadcast every show in 2010.
Broadcasts are available for $7.99 per show, or bundle your purchases: $15 for all three Red Rocks shows, $20 for 3 nights at Horning’s Hideout (including streaming of other acts on the bill), $10 for both Halloween shows. Also, choose a $45 all access pass for every show in 2010, $60 premium all access which includes every show and one show poster, or $100 premium all access which includes every show plus signed posters from each venue. All options are available now at www.iclips.net.
Tickets for The String Cheese Incident’s Hulaween shows on October 29th and 30th are still available, please visit www.stringcheeseincident.com for ticketing information.

Jammy's Recap Videos
The 7th and final Jammy Awards took place on Wednesday night. In case you missed it, check out the highlights from Hidden Track or from Runaway Dinosaur.
I've gone ahead and collected the videos of Trey sitting in with the Fab Faux, Phish accepting their lifetime acheivement award, and the Headcount All-Stars' (Jake from Umphrey's Mcgee, Barber and Brownstein from the Disco Biscuits, Joe Russo, and Kyle Hollingsworth from the String Cheese Incident) Phish tribute.
Trey sits in with Fab Faux for "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
Better video, worse audio of Trey "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
Trey's acceptance speech
Mike, Fishman, Page, and Trey's acceptance speeches
Headcount All-Stars "Wilson"
Headcount All-Stars "Run Like an Antelope"
Headcount All-Stars "Maze"
Sidenote: the best part of these videos is that Brownstein is in full Bobblehead mode.
In other Phish-related news, Trey will play a solo acoustic set at the Newport Folk Festival this August.

WeTube Wednesdays: Hiatus Run
It has now been three weeks since my last post and to my surprise, I've actually received several complaints about the lack of postings. To those of you who actually visit the site every day I am truly sorry. Here's where I've been...

Guitarmageddon - Sean Levy

String Cheese Incident - 08/12/07 - Red Rocks

And the biggest time-occupier of them all...
Law School.
Guitarmageddon - Dan Lebowitz

Guitarmageddon - Sean Levy

String Cheese Incident - 08/12/07 - Red Rocks

And the biggest time-occupier of them all...
So while I'm not exactly taking an extended hiatus, I will not have the luxury of posting as often as I would like. Anyways, I've gotta steal part of this week's tube from Hidden Track: Trey's recent guest appearance with Dave Matthews 08/14/07 in Saratoga, New York. While I'm not exactly what you would call a "fan" of the DMB, I do love hearing Trey tear it up. Ace summarizes this video best "It’s a fairly subdued performance, until we reach the five minute mark, when Trey opens it up and takes it to the car wash (presumably to get it waxed, and then air dry that shit)."
This one really got me in the mood for some classic Trey. How about the Harry Hood 11/16/95 West Palm Beach, FL?

WeTube Wednesdays: 10klf & Everyone Orchestra Edition
For this week's WeTube Wednesday I really wanted to put together a bunch of 10,000 Lakes clips, but there just aren't a ton to choose from...
My personal favorite was this Umphrey's McGee "Plunger" clip
"40's Theme" also scores a close second
Part of Derek Trucks' "Key to the Highway"
I also stumbled across some quality clips of the Everyone Orchestra covering "You Enjoy Myself"
Part 1 (Part 2) (Part 3)
And what's going on...
-STS9 released a slew of Fall tour dates
-Jimmy Page will testify against an accused bootlegger in Scotland
-buy some cool Phish, String Cheese, and other memorabilia and support the Mimi Fishman Foundation
-who needs an old pair of Chuck Taylors when you can have Joey Ramones
-the dancing glowstick girl made it to see String Cheese at 10,000 Lakes
-and holy shit, I'm still not sure if this is real, but it is definitely hilarious, and only a minute: the trailer for Harvest Fest 2007 (the festival actually has a killer lineup if you're interested in the Trans-Cosmic Tribadelic Space Carnival thing and happen to be in Minnesota during early September)

Catching Up
Unfortunately I was not able to blog from the middle of this year's Summer Camp Monsoon. Here's what I missed...
10,000 Lakes: Trey's out, Cheese's in
Speaking of Cheese, they've added more NYC and Red Rocks dates
Led Zeppelin Reunion?
moe. joins Lollapalooza
the Bonnaroo schedule was released; let the bitching begin...
How was Summer Camp you ask? Here are the highlights; I'll be posting more later...
-An entire year's worth of rain descended upon central Illinois in one day; it was not, however, nearly as effective at driving away hippies as...say...death metal
-Tea Leaf Green played a pretty good show (with Bayliss sitting in for a song or two)
-ALO blew my mind
-The Wailers just blew
-Keller and the WMDS were underwhelming, though I never realized how good Gibb Droll is
-Cornmeal was fun
-Brother's Past; what a great find!
-Umphrey's was great night one, sub-par night two
-moe. met and exceeded all expectations; not only was the music great; but the sets were well-chosen and probably had the best light show that I have ever seen
As I said, more later!

WeTube Wednesdays
So after starting the WeTube Wednesdays feature I completely forgot about it. Now I am pleased to announce that WeTube Wednesdays has returned!
This week's clip is an amateur highlights clip of the the String Cheese Incident's Sea of Dreams Festival 12/31/06.
I was fortunate enough to attend Melt-Your-Face 2007 and this clip brings back a lot of fuzzy memories...can't wait for the Bonnaroo Incident.

String Cheese Biscuits! (+ STS9)
The Disco Biscuits will open the String Cheese Incident's first California farewell show at the Greek Theater in Berkeley on July 21. Sound Tribe Sector 9 will play in between the Disco Biscuits and String Cheese.
The Disco Biscuits will also be playing The Independent in San Francisco the following night, July 22.
Great. As if deciding between Cheese and 10,000 Lakes Festival wasn't hard enough already (especially considering that it could be Trey's only show for quite a while).

A Cheesy Farewell
The String Cheese Incident officially announced their farewell tour dates yesterday. They include a stop at Bonnaroo June 15, a Beacon run from July 12-14, a Berkeley farewell July 21 and 22, a three night run from July 27-29 somewhere in Oregon, the Big Summer Classic in Missouri August 3-5, and a Red Rocks grand finale August 10-12.
Tickets go on sale through SCI ticketing May 8 at 10:00 A.M. (Mountain Time).
In this writer's opinion this will be more of a hiatus than a break-up, and there will be more incidents to come in the (not-too-distant) future.
