Nitrous at Carnegie Hall
The other night I went to a bluegrass event partially supported by Carnegie Hall, the young women in charge of sponsoring the event was promoting a Punch Brothers show, with the Banjo player from LoS and Chris Thile. Nice. She craved attention, going on and on about the free tickets she gets.
Now this is Hilarious and Questionable at the same time depending on the mood I'm in but, Nitrous balloons got broken out for the Trey show! Old people in suits intermingling with wookies. I asked her about it and they said they pretty much just rented out the venue to the Anastasio camp, and that it was not an official Carnegie Hall event. (passing the blame?) I was just as baffled when the nitrous tanks were hissing up and down the street from MSG across from 20 cop cars.
Hidden Track has a good review of Treys performance.
Some may say, that after the confusion of this past year that nitrous is bringing down the Jamband scene. Though we like to break the rules and live the way we want to, pick up your damn balloons and don't support a violent trade.
