Bob Weir: Brooklyn Bowl Run Continues

I kicked up a review to Live Music Blog, of Government Mule at Brooklyn Bowl. Robert Chapman contributed great pics. Tonight me and Rob will be back at the spot for Scare The Children with Bob Weir. I would love to someday play that place.

Gov’t Mule’s By A Thread Listening Party @Brooklyn Bowl the New Wetlands?

Upon reflecting on the the Brooklyn Bowl, and talking to some fellow heads, I remembered/realized that the place is run by that dude Peter Shapiro, who used to own The Wetlands when he was just 23. This place being in Williamsburg will actually be a very good thing, as it will bring music other than indie rock to the area. It's what I have been talking about all along. They already had Grace Potter play and Steve Kimmock and now Gov't Mule. This is sure to educate some of the vapid locals to the way of the blues.

Gov’t Mule will preview its latest studio album for fans on Wednesday, September 30th in New York City. The By A Thread listening party will take place at Brooklyn Bowl and a limited number of guaranteed entry spots are available to folks who pre-order the new disc. The deadline to make that purchase and qualify for the lottery is Friday September 25 at 6 PM Eastern. Winners will then be notified by email on Monday the 28th.

The Mule will resume its fall tour tomorrow evening in Los Angeles at Club Nokia.
