Welcome to The Hangout!

May 14-16, the first ever large-scale festival on the beach is open each day from noon to 11 pm and will feature an eclectic lineup of 60-plus artists over three days of sun-soaked festival fun unlike any other event.

The festival includes four stages with the two main stages rising from the sand itself. Attendance will be limited to 35,000 people per day.

LOCATION: On the beach, next to the Hangout restaurant at the southern end of Alabama Highway 59. If you hit the Gulf of Mexico, you went just a little too far.

Wristband Information Three-day ticketholders are required to exchange their ticket for a 3-day wristband. Wristbands are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be replaced. They cannot be removed and must be worn all three days to allow entry. If the wristband is tampered with or mangled, it cannot be replaced.

Under guidelines set by the Alabama Marine Police and other local and state boating regulators, a 500-foot “no boating” ordinance is in place during the Hangout Muisc Festival adjacent to the festival grounds. All watercrafts will not be able to enter this buffer zone to maintain safety for all festival patrons and boaters alike.

Allowed & Prohibited Items* Guests and their belongings are subject to search upon entry or re-entry. You can help keep the lines moving quickly by leaving large bags at home.

You May bring the Following Items: Blankets *Baby strollers * Two factory-sealed water bottles up to 1 leter each * Empty Camelback or other empty plastic container (i.e., Nalgene bottle) * Binoculars *Non-professional equipment or cameras without detachable lenses

The Following Items are Prohibited: Weapons of any kind * Illegal substances (including narcotics) or drug paraphernalia * Framed or large backpacks * Alcohol (alcohol will be sold at the Festival) * Glass containers * Food or beverages, except for two factory-sealed water bottles up to 1 liter each * Skateboards, scooters or personal motorized vehicles * Bicycles inside Festival grounds (bike racks are available near the box office) * Carts * Fireworks * Explosives * Umbrellas of any kind * Chairs of any kind * Hard-sided coolers * Tents * Pets (except A.D.A. service dogs) * Video equipment: No video recording will be allowed. * Professional still camera equipment (no detachable lenses, no tripods, big zooms or commercial use rigs) * Any audio recording equipment * No illegal vending is permitted. No unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed. * No moshing, crowd surfing and/or stage diving * Unauthorized solicitations, handbills, sampling, giveaways, etc * Metal aerosol cans, including sunscreen in aerosol cans

Disability Access & Accommodation We want to make sure that all music lovers have access to the Hangout experience!

Kids at the Hangout Coming to the Festival with a youngster? Children aged 10 are admitted FREE if accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. There is no limit to the number of kids per adult, within the discretion of the front gate ticketing staff.

Safety & Medical We are making every effort to create a safe environment on the Festival grounds, including public and private security and medical staff. If you need any assistance, seek out the medical tent or look for a peace officer or festival staff member.

Heat Relief Drink lots of water. Look for free water fountains throughout the festival park. Wear sunscreen.

Lost & Found During the Festival, look for lost items at the Central Information booths. Valuables will be held for 30 days and then donated to a local charity. The Hangout Music Festival and HUKA Entertainment will not be held liable for any unclaimed items.

Public Transportation There will be three shuttle routes running north, west, and east from 10am- 12 am on Friday May 14th-Sunday May 16th. Each shuttle ride will cost patrons $3.00, which may be payable in cash upon boarding. Weekend all-you-can-ride passes are also available at $10.00 per rider. These wristbands may be ordered online through the festival website, and they may also be purchased at the festival box office and on each shuttle bus.

Parking For festival patrons that wish to drive, parking will be available in the surrounding neighborhoods, similar to the organic parking system used during the Shrimp Festival.

Have Fun Most importantly, have fun, be nice to others, have a little patience, drink enough water and give the gift of laughter to the people around you during the Hangout Festival. Watch out for your neighbors, make friends, and have an awesome time.
