Support Net Neutrality

I'm just about to get headed off to Langerado and wanted to post this video about net neutrality. Another Festival: Outside Lands

From Jambands.com:

"Radiohead, Tom Petty and Jack Johnson will headline the next multi-band summer gathering, the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival. The multi-faceted, three-day festival will take place at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park from August 22-24, 2008..."

I think that there's a music festival every weekend from May until September now. Although I like this in theory, I'm skeptical whether all of these festivals will make enough money to sustain themselves. The average festival-goer can afford only the $200 ticket (and another $200-$300 on food, drinks, and crap) once or twice a Summer. With more festivals competing for the same dollars, not to mention the same acts, it seems inevitable that each festival will get less of both.

RIP Led Zeppelin Reunion Tour

According to this Sunday Mirror Exclusive:

"Robert Plant has turned down an extra £100million fortune to take Led Zeppelin on a world tour. The rock legend wants to concentrate on his new partnership with US country singer Alison Krauss...spelling the likely end of the famous band...Guitarist Jimmy Page, 64, was keen to do the tour this year and was backed by bass player John Paul, 62."

I can't say that I'm surprised by this. That doesn't mean I'm not disappointed though...
