I think that there's a music festival every weekend from May until September now. Although I like this in theory, I'm skeptical whether all of these festivals will make enough money to sustain themselves. The average festival-goer can afford only the $200 ticket (and another $200-$300 on food, drinks, and crap) once or twice a Summer. With more festivals competing for the same dollars, not to mention the same acts, it seems inevitable that each festival will get less of both.
