Supporting Raulton Reichel in His Fight Against Lymphoma

I recently created a website for a friend George Ghindia, Helping to raise money for his fight against Non-Hodgkins Lymphom, He is a strong willed person and today has practically eliminated the cancer from his body. Sadly another friend has this disease but I am optimistic that he too can fight it.

Raulton Reichel is a very talented keyboardist, sound efx guy and producer/engineer who has played in such bands as Four Star Riot, Ghetto Love Sugar, The Deeper Shade of Soul, Funk Like Whoa, the Funky Plumbers, Sound Chemist, and the Jonathan Powell Quartet. John Medeski of MMW is one of his biggest musical heroes.

Raulton was recently diagnosed with this disease. He has a large tumor in his chest that is wrapped around his main artery and is pushing on his heart. It is non-operable, due to its size and location. He will soon begin a treatment of chemo followed by radiation, and he is additionally pursuing alternative forms of treatment.

Let's let Raulton know that we care. And let's share information about benefit concerts and other fundraisers that will be held to help his family handle the expenses associated with treatment, and with his sudden loss of income, since he will be unable to gig for several months.

Raulton is only 35, and he and his wife Jennifer Reintz Reichel have two children - Cadence, 4, and Canon, 2. They live in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

For regular updates on his condition from Jennifer, and to sign his guest book, you can also visit http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/raultonreichel

Raulton's music site is here - http://www.raulton.com/

Raulton will win this battle -- and our thoughts, prayers, and messages of concern will help him to do so.

2011 Waka Winter Classic- Wakarusa

The 7th Annual Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival will be traveling to 20 cities this winter (cities still to be added and confirmed) in a quest to locate the best and brightest musicians the country has to offer. At every stop on the tour 4-5 bands will compete in a regional talent showcase. The winner of each talent showcase as decided by the fans in attendance will receive an invitation to play at Wakarusa 2011. The winners in each city will also have their music featured on Wakarusa website and will compete in an online talent showcase. The three bands that receive the most votes in our online competition will get to play the Revival Stage at the Wakura festival along with a host of other surprises.
