Bernie Worrell at The Bitter End

Bernie Worrell first came to prominence as a founding member and musical director of Parliament/ Funkadelic (so you know he partied to hard to play with James Brown). While this massively influential supergroup was radically altering the course of music, he was radically charting the course of emerging keyboard technology during the golden age of analog synthesis. Bernie Will be playing The Bitter End tonight 1/20/2011, it is rare to have these kinds of established artists playing this rock club usually reserved for emerging NYC bands and showcases.

Steel Drivers: Good Corn Liquer

This song has been getting heavy play on Blue Grass Country Radio, The slide guitar is really unique for a bluegrass band as it's played upright. The Steel Drivers played Bonnaroo 2009 and will be playing Grey Fox this year.

Neurovolataic

neurovoltaic
My blahger buddy and ally in this series of tubes, JWardo over at Live Music Blog, is a pretty cool dude, he can skateboard for real and he is also a bad ass musician. Gotta respect the modern day renaissance man thing. Check out his new band which he recently joined The Neurovoltaic Orchestra
