CMJ is kind of stupid with most of the bands being soulless, and souled out. The NYC Taper showcase is cool though. This guy is awesome because he busts his ass making it to different shows for your listening pleasure. Then he puts it on a blog. Hug a Taper! He also supports very small and upcoming bands another very cool thing, almost all the bands he promotes are not very well known and he serves as one of their biggest methods of exposure.
