Phil & Friends Fall Tour

According to long time "Friend" Larry Campbell's website "Larry will be performing with Phil Lesh on July 21st in San Francisco...He will also be doing a tour with Phil Lesh starting September 28th."

All I have to say about this is: why would anyone possibly schedule Phil and Friends for the same night as the Disco Tribe Incident in the same city?!?! Sometimes life just isn't fair I guess.

Otherwise, great to know that more Phil is officially on the way. Stay tuned for more updates as they come in...

Internet Radio Saved!

From Wired:

"At today's Congressional hearing about the new rates for online radio that would essentially destroy it, SoundExchange, which was scheduled to receive the new royalty payments on Monday morning (since the enforcement date falls on a Sunday), made a startling statement. The SoundExchange executive [Jon Simson, executive director] promised -- in front of Congress -- that SoundExchange will not enforce the new royalty rates. Webcasters will stay online, as new rates are hammered out."

Nice!

Have you ever wished that two of your favorite bands would join forces to play sick Beatles and Pink Floyd covers?

Well if Umphrey's Mcgee and the Disco Biscuits count as two of your favorite bands then you're in luck.

The inaugural performance by D.U.M.B. super-cover-group "The Brain Damaged Eggmen" took place aboard Jam Cruise IV in January of '06; here are some of the highlights...
